Trump Threatens House Conservatives: Vote ‘Yes’ On Ryancare Bill Or Face Losing Seats Next Year

The above is my version of title by Kyle Cheney, Rachel Bade and John Bresnahan at Politico.

This is ironic for this reason: If House Conservatives go along with Trump and Ryan on Ryancare, then they’ll be voted out by angry Conservative voters next year. Trump is threatening them with losing their seats in the next election if they don’t go along with him. Either way, House Conservatives (the Freedom Caucus members, specifically) will lose their seats.

So what’s a House Conservative to do? Go along with Trump and Ryan and turn the Obamacare brand over to Republicans or dig in their heels and tell Ryan and Trump to take a hike?

Some will undoubtedly cave but this move by Trump–threatening loss of office if they don’t vote “yes” to something they’re opposed to–isn’t going to win favor with Conservative congressmen.

Trump and Ryan are on the wrong side on this issue and they’re on the wrong side on Amnesty. Liberals never learn.
