Trump Passes Over Kobach For DHS Chief, Selects Ret. General John Kelly For Easy Senate Confirmation

My version of title by Ed Kilgore’s piece at NY Mag.

This was expected. Kobach may still get a deputy post at the DOJ or DHS, one that doesn’t need RINO-controlled Senate confirmation.

This is nothing to cheer about. It could be that Trump doesn’t want Kobach in a highly visible position where, when Trump asks for an Amnesty bill to sign, Kobach can’t make a big stink by resigning.
