Trump Lavishes Praise On Kushner For ‘Jailbreak’, Spouts Half-Truth That Conservative House Members Backed Him In Voting For It
The above is my version of title by Paul Bedard at Washington Examiner.
Bedard fails to mention the fact that there were TWO House votes on Jailbreak I; the first was on May 22, 2018 where only 2 House Republicans (Steve King and Bill Huizenga) voted against it and the final vote (after the Senate made some minor changes) where 36 House Republicans voted against it (which included all House Conservatives). In other words, they voted for the bill without reading it the first time and with much fanfare and pressure from The White House (Kushner and Trump) and later that year (after 36 Republicans had been booted in the November Election for voting for Republican Amnesty bills) realized their mistake after reading it and Daniel Horowitz’ articles about it.
Trump warned the nation that there’s going to be even more Jailbreak by his administration. something we aren’t looking forward to next year and beyond.
Letting criminals out of prison to win some of the black vote doesn’t make for a safer more secure nation!
