The Anti-Lockdown Movement Which Is Growing Exponentially May Be The New Tea Party Movement
The above is my version of title by Ed Kilgore at nymag.com.
Kilgore may be right. The TP Movement began as a libertarian movement. This is not a libertarian movement. And it’s not just a Conservative or right-wing movement. It’s a non-party, grass roots movement.
The TP movement was a flop, a disaster. This one won’t be because it is much larger and broader and because the left is trying to create anarchy (Jailbreak and taxpayer funding of illegal aliens) while placing draconian measures (lockdowns) on parts of citizens!
Is Trump the leader of this movement? No, because his wanting to “open up the country” is purely a business one. He’s jumping on the Anti-Lockdown bandwagon.
Still, Kilgore’s article is an interesting one. The TP Movement died many years ago. The Anti-Lockdown Movement is alive and well and getting stronger by the day. Texas Governor Abbott timed it just right today, promising to unlock Texas shortly but with parameters such as social distancing and masks. Florida’s Governor DeSantis is reopening the beaches and parks.
