State Of California–Caltrans–Builds Tall Chain-Linked Fence Under 280 Freeway In San Jose To Keep Homeless Out (video)
The above is my version of title by John Ramos at KPIX-5.
Homeless encampments will be closed by cities as San Jose did eventually to “The Jungle”. Those advocating for the homeless are doing good work until they get into trying to force encampments on communities that don’t want them.
Like homeowner Laura Nunez on that street says, “Take them to your neighborhood and you live the way we’ve been living the past few years, and then you’ll sing a different tune after that.”
Amen to that! Activists wouldn’t want the people they advocate for lowering their property values (a BIG deal), bringing drugs and crime to their neighborhoods (also a BIG deal) and not allowing their children to play near these encampments.
What is amazing about this story is…the Sanctuary City in California is building a fence to keep homeless out! It just doesn’t compute.
