Stanford Slapped In Face As Team They Beat With Identical Record Gets Rose Bowl Bid Due To Ridiculous National Rankings While They Go To Sun Bowl

Whoever does the CFRs this year, they’re full of crap because Stanford’s football team–a team that beat USC in Southern California this year and a team with an identical record to the Trojans–is being passed over for The Rose Bowl and instead will play in the lowly Sun Bowl in El Paso on December 30th.

USC (9-3) is ranked a ridiculously high #9 while Stanford (9-3) is ranked a ridiculously LOW #16! THAT and USC’s alumni pressure cost Stanford The Rose Bowl birth this year though some will say it was Stanford allowing Colorado to clean their clocks at Stanford Stadium in “the injury game” with both of Stanford’s starting cornerbacks out with injuries.

Colorado (10-3) was passed up for The Rose Bowl because you can’t put a team that just got blown out by the #4 team in the nation in The Big Daddy of bowl games. Colorado will play Oklahoma State in the Alamo Bowl.

While USC beat both Washington and Colorado, two teams that destroyed Stanford during their “injury games” when both starting cornerbacks were out, Stanford’s beating them at the Colosseum should have been the deciding factor. In point of fact, since one of those cornerbacks has returned (Quentin Meeks), Stanford has won 5 straight to finish the season proving how important just ONE of those corners are. The other CB (Alijah Holder) was out of the season.

I’m hoping Penn State whups the Trojans. The Nittany Lions are a better team with a much better quarterback.

Next year, USC will play on the Farm. With or without Christian McCaffrey, Stanford will destroy the Trojans and, hopefully, their Rose Bowl chances in that game.
