Stanford QB Keller Chryst Did Officially Tear His Right Knee’s ACL During Sun Bowl

This confirms what I feared. Will Chryst be able to play in September when the 2017 season begins? ACL rehab began immediately after surgery.

From what I’ve read about torn ACLs, it should be at least 6 months (early July) before Chryst is cleared by doctors to return to the football field. He’ll miss spring practice.

Question: Will Chryst be able to plant and run as well as he did before the injury? For a right-handfer, the left leg is “the plant leg”. He already has a brace on his left leg.

We’ll be following Chryst’s recovery and we wish him all the best.
