Senator Paul’s Assailant, Dr. Boucher, Should Be Charged With Federal Crimes As 4th Degree Assault–A Misdemeanor–Is A Ridiculously Light Charge Given The Senator’s Injuries

The story I found by Julie Grace Brufke at The Daily Caller at drudgereport.com quotes a number of Senator Paul’s neighbors who believe reports of “a landscaping argument” caused the scumbag doctor-next-door-neighbor to attack him and break 6 of his ribs.

Dr. Boucher should be hit with a federal charge of assault on a member of Congress. The following from Wikipedia on assaulting a member of Congress states:

18 U.S.C. § 351(CongressionalCabinet, and Supreme Court assassination, kidnapping, and assault. Minor assault or simple assault is usually punished as a misdemeanor with a base offense level of 4.[3] When physical contact occurs or a deadly weapon is possessed and threatened, it typically escalates to a felony with a higher offense level, and when injury occurs, the penalties increase still further.

Dr. Boucher has committed a federal felony and must be so charged! I agree with Senator Paul’s neighbors.
