NFL Gives MVP Award To Brady Instead of WR Sensation Julian Edelman Who Turned Game Around With Spectacular Catch
By Dave Levine
NOTE: On Monday, the day following the Super Bowl, even Brady agreed with me though he wants the MVP to be third-string RB James White. White scored the winning touchdown in overtime. However, I’m sticking to my post here that the unbelievable catch made by Edelman on a tipped pass with two Falcons on top of him shocked the Falcons and kept that game-tying drive going. It was if the air went out of the Falcons at that point.
Tom Brady had ZERO touchdown passes in today’s Super Bowl–ZERO! Brady passed for 422 yards but no touchdowns! Yet, he gets the MVP Award. What the frick is going on with the NFL?
That award should have gone to WR extraordinaire, Julian Edelman, No. 11. Edelman’s diving catch in the final drive in regulation was SO amazing, so dazzling that it took the wind right out of the Falcons’ sails. Edelman had made superb catches earlier in the game.
Once the game went to overtime, Edelman made the key catch of the game-winning drive.
Sorry, but those who give the MVP Award blew it.
And I’m not a fan of New England or Juluian Eldelman (who pushes off a lot on defenders and rarely gets called for it).
Nevertheless, Julian Edelman gets MY MVP Award!
