McConnellcare/Trumpcare Covers 50 To 70 Million Illegal Aliens, Different Wording From Ryancare Bill Which Does Not Allow Illegals Coverage: Is This What Trump Means By It Being ‘Nicer’?

by Dave Levine

Gary Blackmon on Facebook posted a section of the McConnellcare/Trumpcare Bill that differs in wording from the Ryancare House Bill. It’s an important change because it removes “an alien lawfully present in the U.S.”, meaning McConnellcare/Trumpcare will very likely cover illegal aliens of which I believe there are 50 to 70 million in our country.

Here’s that section of McConnellcare/Trumpcare, known as “the Senate bill”:

(i) Section 1411(a)(1) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is amended by striking “or an alien lawfully present in the United States” and inserting “or a qualified alien (within the meaning of Section 431 of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996).”

(ii) Section 1411(e)(2)(B) is such Act is amended by striking “an alien lawfully present in the United States” each place it appears in clauses (i)(I) and (ii)(II) and inserting “a qualified alien” (within the meaning of Section 431 of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996).

“A qualified alien” can mean just about ANY alien and that of course is precisely the reason this was inserted.

If there was one reason to vote down McConnellcare/Trumpcare, it is this one above, the sneaky bastards!

Much thanks to Gary Blackmon on Facebook for posting this section of the McConnellcare/Trumpcare bill and to Kelly Hubbard for posting their discussion.
