McCaffrey Will Skip Sun Bowl Appearance For Fear Of Injury Copying LSU’s Fournette Who Also Bowed Out Of Bowl Game

I am shocked that McCaffrey would do this to his teammates but he’s thinking of himself, not his team. His excuse–that he’s getting ready for the draft is ridiculous: the NFL Draft doesn’t happen until April.

I doubt very much that McCaffrey would have bowed out from playing again/starring in The Rose Bowl had Stanford been picked instead of USC. The Sun Bowl is a lowly bowl game, not one of the New Year’s biggies. Perhaps McCaffrey felt slighted that Stanford wasn’t picked (and I would agree with him).

Still, that’s no reason not to play. I am truly disappointed in McCaffrey’s decision as I’m sure other Stanford fans are.

UNC can breathe a sigh of relief that they won’t be facing him.
