‘I’ve Never Been ‘#NeverTrump”, Says Ted Cruz At Texas Forum
An excellent post by Soopermexican at The Right Scoop! Sooper’s comments are cogent and right-on-the-mark!
This above ALL other appearances by Sen. Cruz proves he’s NOT “one of us”! He’s admittedly not a #NeverTrump Patriot. He’s a go-along-to-get-along-Republican so he has access to donor money and because he “has assurances” that Trump would nominate ONLY from his SCOTUS list. Believing that is pretty stupid, in my opinion. If elected President, Trump will do as Trump does, do as he wishes and will not be beholden to any “list”!

I don’t think that his saying he was never a #NeverTrump should be a surprise. I figured that when he agreed to speak at the Convention that he was not a #NeverTrump. I still appreciate everything he is trying to accomplish in the Senate to try and save our country.
I still appreciate everything he is doing in the Senate too, but after hearing his voice on Beck’s show today I’m not sure we can count on him to stand and fight his own party anymore. If I’m not mistaken bitch McConnell already pulled Cruz’s internet protection out of the funding bill with no fight from Cruz. Today Ted sounded like a broken man, on the campaign trail his voice was stronger and he never hesitated when answering questions but today he had several long pauses while he searched for the right answer and even danced around some of the questions. All of his answers as to why he did this are the same things we hear from trumpsters and anyone who has jumped on that train every day.
Thanks for the input on this, NOT2L8!
I didn’t hear the interview and frankly, now that Cruz has endorsed Trump and lost his internet protection bill, I’ve moved on.
This doesn’t mean I won’t forget what he did.
I only listened because I wanted to hear it directly from his mouth. Wish there had been video, I’d be willing to bet his body language also suggests a broken man. I hope I’m wrong but I’m afraid the establishment owns him now.
As much as I liked and respected Ted Cruz…..I consider his jumping on the Trump Train an act of betrayal to his long time supporters. Many of us contributed to his campaign, stuck by him as he was denigrated and disrespected by Trump and the GOP….and then, like Levin, goes to the dark side to support, endorse and cast their sacred vote for the likes of Trump.
Unlike many….I don’t forgive him or overlook what he did….I am Done with him.
I listened to Daniel Horowitz Podcast and
Even though I’m very hurt by Sen Cruz’s decision this Daniel Horowitz view on it , is a very clear and good, he says we’re all right however we see it, but that we shouldn’t be tearing each other down over it. And explains why we need a new party.
I saw this posted by Sassygeorgiegirl who said she got it from another site. It’s food for thought at least something to think about. “It was a political decision made for expedience.”
What Cruz accomplished here was to remove the criticism that he would not keep his word. He said he would endorse the Republican nominee, and he did.
Cruz also removed the label that he was a pariah in the party, not a loyal Republican. He further excised any blame from himself, and by extension his supporters, for Trump losing the election.
This was party politics pure and simple, nothing more and nothing less. Cruz, as the second place winner in the primaries, had come under increasing pressure from the RNC, other Republicans and major party donors to endorse the nominee. There are policies and legislation Cruz wants to advance in the Senate. He cannot do that without the help of other members. If a concession must be made, so be it. I posted it as was posted but there was more.
