ICE Arrests 50 Illegals At Cockfighting Site In Southwest Detroit

The above title is my version of title by Elisha Anderson at Detroit Free Press.

We hope these kinds of raids continue. There are many cockfighting rings in the U.S.

The SPCA tells us that cockfighting is illegal in ALL 50 states and is a felony in 40 of them.

It is also a crime to be a spectator at a cockfight in 42 states except the following eight states where it is still legal to watch:  Alabama, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico and Texas.

Here are the 10 states where cockfighting is only a misdemeanor:  Alabama, Hawaii, Idaho, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah and West Virginia.

Cockfights are also places for drug deals and illegal immigration.
