Fire Stanford Coach Shaw And Bring Out The Freshmen Players As UCLA Has Done–And Build For The Future Post-Shaw; In The Meantime, I’m Rooting For Texas
By Dave Levine
I’ve had it with this team! Coach Shaw and the Stanford team have embarrassed themselves on national tv. They’ve played 9 horrific quarters in the last three games. The team started the season with 3 injured offensive linemen. How do you start a season with injured players when you haven’t played a down? Did they hurt themselves in the weight room? Some say it’s because classes started at the Farm and that has hurt the players’ concentration on the upcoming games. That’s total b.s.!
It’s like the “Cactus Jack” Curtis’ years at Stanford. I’m SICK of rooting for a badly-coached team whose boss, the Stanford Athletic Dept., refuses to fire him. Master of the 3-man rush that gives gifts to the opposition, Shaw makes Cactus Jack look like a great coach. He’s making $5 million a year and doesn’t know how to recruit (He recruited ZERO defensive linemen this winter after losing his best lineman to the pros). He cannot motivate his players. That’s it! Finis!
Texas is a fun, talented team with a smart, tough QB and an excellent coach and a tough defensive coach. Good time management, smart play-calling and no fears of blitzing a good opposing QB!
Go Longhorns!
