Employers Aren’t Allowed To But ICE Can Use E-verify To Arrest And Deport 10 Million Illegals Working For A Paycheck

Kelly Cohen at Washington Examiner had a story on ICE Director Homan’s comments to The Heritage Foundation. Homan says that ICE’s workplave enforcement will increase now. This is great to hear after previous raids on illegal alien gangs.

There are about 10 million illegals working (illegally) for a paycheck. Due to a Chamber-written federal law, employers cannot use E-verify on their current employees to check their immigration status, so ICE has to pick up the slack. Think about this: 10 million illegals escaping deportation because E-verify cannot be used to nab them due to a Chamber-written loophole in federal law!

But ICE can use E-verify on them!

Does reporter Cohen mention whether Homan is referring to workplace enforcement in Sanctuary Cities and states? No. But since CA, OR, CO, IL, NY and CT are Sanctuary States that hold millions of illegals (particularly CA), I would hope that ICE raids will be targeted there.
