Disgraced Former L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca Guilty Of Obstructing An FBI Investigation And Lying To Federal Authorities May Get Off With 2 Years Due To Onset Of Alzheimer’s

The above is my version of title by Susan Abram at Los Angeles Daily News.

Former Sheriff Baca was instrumental in bringing in Muslims into the Sheriff’s Office and making them deputies. The Dave Levine Show opposed that effort. He was not “a law and order Sheriff” as he was weak on illegal immigration.

If Baca indeed mistreated prisoners in his county jail, he should definitely serve some jail time. Lying to the feds means jail time and I don’t believe he should get off with a half-sentence.
