DACA Amnesty For About 800,000 Illegals Will End For 314,000 Of Them This Year, 467,000 In 2018 And The Remaining 36,000 In 2019

The above is my version of title by David Bier in an extensive piece on the DACA Amnesty on December 21, 2016 at cato.org.

Wow! I wish I had seen this back in mid-December when it came out but thank goodness I saw it tonight!

Of course, we know that President Trump met with Obama on Inauguration Day morning and promised to leave DACA Amnesty in place, a memo by Obama which has been keeping 800,000 illegals known as “DREAMERs” from being deported.

This lie by Trump to his supporters who put him in office–the lie that he would end DACA Amnesty on his first day in office–has cost Trump many of his supporters.

This report from Bier at Cato shows the likely reason “why” Trump did nothing: DACA is temporary and expires for many of the illegal “DREAMERs” (314,000, he says) this year and for more than half of the 800,000 next year. This means that 314,000 DREAMERs will be deportable this year and 467,000 (Bier says) will be deportable next year with 36,000 becoming deportable in 2019.

Unless of course Trump wants to extend the Amnesty indefinitely…which Bier doesn’t discuss in this article, why, I don’t know.

Much thanks to “Judy” at ALIPAC for posting this.
