Axios Reports Trump Supposedly Angry About Losing Conservative Support Over His Gloating Over, Then Signing And Renewing ‘National Jailbreak I & II’ (AKA The First Step Act) Promoted By Kushner
The above is my version of title by Nikki Schwab at The Daily Mail.
Whether there’s a rift between Trump and Kushner isn’t the issue. The issue is whether Trump truly believes signing the Act was a horrible mistake, one that has cost at least two American lives along with rapes and other crimes. Trump apparently can’t connect his release of over 4,000 inmates and the halving of sentences of others to a spike in crime rates in New York and elsewhere. Daniel Horowitz has written about this.
Jailbreak (Horowitz’s term) is a disaster for America and that plus other Trump failures may cost him reelection. Trump should “man up” an admit it was a bad mistake but not because it’s hurting him with Conservative voters–because he KNOWS it was wrong and stupid!
