11 Stanford Football Team Players Have Opted To Transfer To Other Schools After Shaw’s Horrific 4-8 Season

The above is my version of title by Alek Arend at thespun.com.

This shows me just how “popular” Coach David Shaw is with his players! It shows that they had no hope for the next few seasons as Shaw is an awful recruiter (he “stayed pat” last year instead of bringing in great pass rushers and linebackers and he has yet to have a good QB recruit or a replacement for RB Bryce Love). I mean, 11 players leaving the team? That is unheard of.

Stanford Athletic Department had ONE chance since it was clear the team would have a losing season to get it right–to fire the overpaid Shaw ($5 million per year) and bring in a tough-as-nails coach like the guy at USC with a completely new coaching staff. Instead, they stuck with Shaw and lost half the team while others are going pro.

Those 11 players said it all with their transferring to other schools. I wish them good luck.
